Project consits of three steps:

1 - Education :

a - Independence : In order to teach independence to the visually impaired youth in elementary scholls, the students will be educated on the usage of the white cane. This education will help them to be more active by themselves in the society.

b - Read-Think-Share : In 2000 YGA has implemented a program called Read-Think-Share in the disadvantaged elementary schools in Turkey. This program teaches students to be successful socially responsible leaders.YGA has developed and implemented this program in the schools for the visually impaired youth. Read-think-share books were designed and read to a CD for the youth.

c - Visually Impaired Leader's Seminars: Visually Impaired leaders give seminars and organize workshops for the youth. During seminars and workshops success stories of visually impaired leaders are shared and discussed and students are educated on leadership development skills.

2 - Career :
A web-site where all the visually impaired university students can register has been established. Student applications are selected from the web -site and interested participants are educated on computer and English language skills and job opportunities by leaders of the work force. Strategic partners of YGA such as Eureko, Fritolay, Mercedes, Unilever and Turkcell offer job experience programs to the visually impaired youth.
Within the mission of the project, first time in Turkey a visually impaired YGA graduate is now working in the multinational company's human resources department as a manager.

3 - Workshop :
On May 31-June 1 Visually impaired youths participated in a dragonboat race in Halic. This out of the box workshop experience was great fun for the youths and thought them leadership development skills.
