Visually Impaired students were trained in computer skills: June 23- June 25

7 visually impaired selected students were trained in computer skills by an teacher who is the first and only visually impaired consultant to give business coaching classes to the visually impaired.

After the computer classes the students participated in a leadership workshop with Eyup Soner who is an YGA dream partner consultant to the visually impaired youth and with Suleyman Ari who is an 2007 visually impaired YGA graduate studying at UCLA.

On June 28,2008 at YGA's annual meeting visually impaired youth received their diplomas upon successfuly completing YGA's social, economic and educational leadership development program for the visually impaired youth..

1 - Communication Network:

After the university seminar workshops one of the projects was to form communication network for the visually impaired youth. The aim of this project was for the visually impaired youth to communicate their project ideas for the social, educational and economic development of the youth. The network is formed and running as of Spring 2008

2 - Working with other NGO's:

Meetings and seminars took place with other NGO's on February 16th and 27th.

Non-Impaired ODTU NGO:

A leadership development camp with visually impaired and sighted youth took place in the summer of 2008.

3 - Mentorship is provided for job opportunities of the youth:

After the leadership and the International Leadership Camps the youth are provided with YGA mentors who are leaders from different fields in the business world. These mentors educate, train and mentor the youth in leadership development skills thus making sure the youth are skilled and are educated for job opportunities.
