Serdar Erener, emphasized the importance of innovative and creative leadership. He gave Bill Gates as an example of one of the most innovative and creative leaders' of today. He encouraged and motivated the young leaders on their social development project of Istanbul.
Istanbul's mayor Kadir Topbas gave the opening speech at the leadership camp. He mentioned how much he supports YGA and is very honored to be among such promising young leaders of tomorrow. He said " even though I have an 5 am plane to catch tomorrow morning , I am very excited to be here with you to hear your social development project ideas for Istanbul. I congratulate all of you who have been selected to participate in this leadership camp amongst from hundreds of university students."
